BANK robber John Dillinger was the first crook declared America's Public Enemy No1.
Now the tale of the charismatic criminal is coming to the big screen in a film called Public Enemies, and JOHNNY DEPP - who plays Dillinger - says: "Some people might disagree, but I think he was a real-life Robin Hood."
The movie, which is out on July 1, also stars Welsh-born CHRISTIAN BALE as FBI Agent Melvin Purvis, who hunted Dillinger down, MARION COTILLARD as Dillinger's girlfriend Billie Frechette, and Liverpudlian actor STEPHEN GRAHAM as the gangster's sidekick Baby Face Nelson.
